Rugby kicked off today. They won two out of their three games. Jershon, Torren and Valora played their first ever game. Te Kura O Te Teko was the first game with a comfortable 31-10 victory. Next up was the perennial powerhouse Royal Oak Intermediate and a humbling loss. The final was against John Paul College from Rotorua and a convincing 53 - 5 victory. Coach Goosen was satisfied with the team effort. Tomorrow, first-up is Finlayson Park School, then Mt Maunganui Intermediate School and lastly Tauranga Intermediate School. The play-offs beckon on Thursday.

Both Ray and Ashton found the going hard at the tennis today. Ray lost two competitive matches whilst Ashton played solidly but came up short against a higher ranked opponent.

As yet we have not heard from the swimmers but are hopeful of them adding to their medals from last night.
